The problem

How it works

Three ways a model gives itself away.

  1. 01

    Read the fingerprint

Every model family splits text into tokens its own way. Unmask.AI sends calibrated probes and compares the token counts that come back against known baselines, so a substituted model shows up in the arithmetic, whatever the response headers say.

  2. 02

    Find what's hidden

Gateways and resellers can wrap your requests in instructions you never see. Unmask.AI combines extraction techniques with token accounting before and after your turn, to show whether a hidden system prompt is shaping the answers.

  3. 03

    Watch the wire

Time to first token and the rhythm of a stream are hard to fake. Unmask.AI records them on every run, so you can tell a direct provider from a relay or a throttled proxy, and hold a supplier to what they promised.

The result

One report you can rerun.

Every audit ends in the same place: what was claimed, what was observed, and exactly how it was measured. Run it again tomorrow and compare.
